TGIF, everyone! It has been a busy week and I, for one, am certainly looking forward to the weekend.

Although I am not sure exactly what I will be doing yet, I may want to check out the budding  Coral Gables Festival of the Arts, as a warm-up to upcoming one in Coconut Grove. There will be over 200 artists featuring their work, as well as plenty of great food. There is even a special KidZone for the littlest art critics.

 

The festival spreads out along Alhambra from Ponce De Leon to LeJeune Road, in the heart of the City Beautiful.

So, grab your loved ones (and maybe your umbrella?) and head over to the Gables, maybe stroll down Miracle Mile and check out the festival. I might do the same, between open houses and showing homes for sale in Coral Gables…

Although it might feel like “New Year” magic has worn off, I got a second chance this week to hit the reset button when I was goal setting with my great team. It was a terrific opportunity to reflect on 2017 sales performance, client interactions, our strengths and weaknesses. While doing this exercise, I was pleased to find that I completed 52 transactions in 52 weeks. On average, I closed a deal a week — I have to say,  selling homes in Miami is so complex these days that at times I felt like I was juggling 100 deals at once!

Even though real estate is hectic and demanding, I’m thrilled I helped over 50 families transition into a new chapter in their lives. Selling and buying a home is extremely personal and I take great pride in being a resource for my clients.

As much as I would love to tell you that I am 100% sticking to my New Year’s resolutions, I would be lying if I told you that I could not be easily tempted by a piece of quality dark chocolate! In its twelfth year, the festival combines two of my favorite things — chocolate and beautiful plants. I looking forward to enjoying our beautiful weather and strolling through the lush gardens. There will be plenty of samples from Miami’s top chocolatiers, as well as chocolate-making demonstrations.
