Touring Art Basel Conveniently

Carole Smith

It may be rainy outside but you can’t let that dampen your excitement for Art Basel. Even if you are not an art buff, the vibe that envelops the city is electric! What’s not so exciting is the drive to and from the different venues. I’ve heard the traffic early in the week was nightmarish.

How to avoid all that cursing and traffic frustration? Consider using public transportation.Apparently multiple cities have connected their free trolley routes. According to the Miami New Times, “the loop will stop in Wynwood and midtown and then make stops in Mid-Beach and at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Shuttles are supposed to arrive every 15 minutes. They’ll run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. now through Saturday and cease operation at 8 p.m. Sunday.”

Grab a few friends and umbrellas and enjoy the kick off of festival season in Miami! For all details regarding Art Basel, click here.
